You will reach Dr. Sonali Walia directly. There is no call centre, no queue, and nobody working from a script. More about who that is →
How to get in touch
Best for anything with detail, a document, or a date in it. You keep a copy of what you sent, which matters if it later becomes a complaint.
Phone
Best for a quick question. If something important is agreed on a call, follow it up in writing — for your protection more than ours.
Registered office
Site 7, House No. 8, LGF, New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, Central Delhi, Delhi 110060This is the registered address on the IRDAI registration, not a walk-in branch. Please arrange a time before visiting.
What people get in touch about
You want to understand something before applying
Any question about how a kind of cover works, what underwriting involves, or what a document means. There is no cost and no obligation, and you will not be put on a list.
You have an application in progress
Ask where it is. You are entitled to know, and being told nothing while a decision is pending is the single most common complaint about this industry.
You already hold a policy and something has changed
An address, a phone number, a nominee. We can tell you what the insurer needs and help you send it — the insurer makes the change, because the insurer holds the contract.
Something has gone wrong
Including something we did. There is a defined four-step route for complaints and we will help you use it, even when the complaint is about us.
Two things we will not do
We will not quote you a premium over the phone or by email. Not because of a policy about disclosure, but because the number is not ours to give — the insurer sets it at underwriting, after seeing a full application. Anyone in this industry willing to give you a firm figure before that has either done the underwriting already or is guessing.
We will not tell you which policy is right for you. We can explain how the categories differ, what each is for, and what each one's catch is — and we will do that at whatever length is useful. But a recommendation about your particular circumstances carries obligations this practice is not set up to meet, so it stays a decision you make.
If you want to complain
Write to the address above and say what happened, what you want done, and any reference you have. If that does not resolve it, the route continues to the insurer, then to the regulator, then to the Insurance Ombudsman — four steps, and nobody here can stop you moving to the next one.
